BEFORE AND AFTER KITCHEN TRANSFORMATION

If you’re looking to update your kitchen, you don’t always have to start from scratch. A new kitchen can be as simple as replacing a few key elements.

The kitchen is the heart of the home and whilst functionality trumps all, it’s important to keep it in line with the changing personality of your house and even the newest style trends.

Conteco have previously renovated a number of kitchens, including one in Caufield which resulted in the room being widened by 1.4m as well an updated decor. The new kitchen features an island bench and increased storage, resulting in a modern and functional family space.

However, changing your kitchen doesn’t have to be painful, by replacing your tiles, cabinets and changing the look of your benchtop, it’s easy to give your kitchen a fresh look.

Replacing your tiles

Changing your tiles or splashback can change the entire look and feel of your kitchen. In a previous kitchen renovated by Conteco, the existing splashback was swapped over from the blue glass to white marble, providing a striking backdrop.

The simple change helped update the kitchen and introduce a crisp, clean style to the room and add a touch of luxury to the kitchen.

Changing your cabinets

Swapping out the wood panelling for new glossy white cabinets not only helped update the look, but brightened the kitchen and continued the crisp and clean style.

The changes, including the widening of the kitchen, also allowed Conteco to include more storage in the kitchen, allowing the glossy white cabinets to stretch the entirety of the kitchen, increasing storage and functionality for the home owner.

The drawers and cabinets have no need for knobs or handles.  Instead, soft-close technology is utilised, allowing for a crisp clean lines.

Replacing your benchtop

Replacing your old benchtops helps to freshen up the kitchen and rethinking the layout can result in added functionality and bench space.

In this Caufield property, the benchtops were swapped for marble white benchtops, with a new island bench installed.

The new benchtops help tie the room together creating a luxurious and modern kitchen.
